Interested in a Career in Health Informatics?

This job could be a great stepping stone to get there. You would get exposure to the healthcare IT industry, experience in project management, and some GREAT networking opportunities. Networking opportunities abound in this role, providing you with invaluable connections in both healthcare and IT sectors. Seriously, add everyone you meet there on LinkedIn- you never know where those connections might lead in the future. You would still be using your clinical experience as well, since you will be using your experience to help tailor Epic’s software to the needs of healthcare professionals.

Perks:

  1. After five years at Epic, you’re rewarded with a four-week sabbatical to anywhere in the world. (Swoon!).
  2. Their campus looks amazing. Have you ever watched a TV show about tech people and you wonder if a work environment like that actually exists? Their Tiktok page shows a very creative office space. I’m not sure if I’d go climb the castle turrets or ride the carousel first, but I would definitely be doing both at some point. They have a job post for a sushi chef right now! According to their benefits page, they even have more practical services like dry cleaning and auto services. Comparatively, a hospital in the US would never have such amenities.
  3. You’d get to move to Madison, Wisconsin. And I know that some of you are scoffing at the thought, but have you been to Madison? It’s a beautiful town. I spent 2 weeks there for work a few years ago and was stunned. It has arts, beautiful parks, and CHEESE! I still miss Fromagination. I can’t do it justice; you’ll just have to go yourself. Eat some cheese for me please.
